Giving your Home a New Look with New Window Treatments

Did you know that you don’t have to do a major remodel or paint job in order to give your home a new look? It’s true. By changing your window treatments you can change the look of room instantaneously and with little effort.

Want to spice it up a little more…add a couple matching decorative throw pillows in the room. What better time to give your home a new look, than during the spring?

You can go from having a valance on your window to having curtains as your window treatment. Or change your current valance window treatment to a new fabric that you just love and add solid colored rod pocket panels to hang beneath your valance and have the tiebacks made in the same fabric as your valance to give your room a decorator touch.

There are so many options these days when it comes to window treatments and we are here to assist you with any questions you have.

Flat Drapery Panels

One of the nice things about Flat Drapery panels is that they can be used as functional drapes. Typically if you wanted a drape that could function as well as look good, you were either using a pleated style, grommet style or a tabbed style of drape.

The Flat Drapery panel offers a casual appeal that many of today’s consumers are drawn to.  The panels look clean and simple yet classy and are easy to open and close, not a lot of fussiness.

Standard lining will work well on these panels, however, whenever using light weight fabrics, we recommend using classic napped lining for extra body, fullness and drape-ablility.

Grommet Curtains

Grommet style draperies are an excellent choice when contemporary decors appeal to you. Grommet panels offer a clean look that depending on the style and color of grommet you choose can make an ever bigger statement in your room.

Square shaped grommets give you a bit more modern look than the typical round set grommet.

Grommet curtains are a great option when needing a functional style drape as the curtain can be opened and closed easily with a pull of the panel, for this reason alone many people opt for grommet panels.
